Shuttle bus service on the Big Bridge to Macau is gradually restarting from tomorrow, May 8. But quarantine rules remain in place.

1. I think Carrie Lam had a press conf saying HKSARG and Guangdong Provincial Government are having ongoing talks to implement the professional, businessmen and cross-border student quarantine exemptions. I remember she said lawyers and accountants are exempt.
2. Bloomberg cited Mofcom inviting certain MNC senior executives to apply to enter China with self-quarantine.
Plus Germany managed to secure a charter flight of senior executives to enter China without quarantine (provided they had been tested in German hospitals before departure) http://cablenews.i-cable.com/ci/videopage/news/25166

A very pro-protest view of HK’s Coronavirus fight to date https://www.theatlantic.com/technolo...avirus/611524/ . We lucked out, in spite of Government, and we should continue to bunker down lest we become Singapore II.

They make the same rules but take an anti-protest angle on it. You missed the social distancing arrests in IFC and Yuen Long in the last two weeks (protesters physically >1.5m when ticketed but HKP asserted common intent)

Just to be clear, the rule is no more than 8 in a group (was 4), but the Government's FAQ doesn't base a group on distance between members -- that's for distancing in restaurants and the like -- but on whether the people associating have a common purpose. "Group gathering generally means a group of people who gather for a common purpose." How far apart the people are doesn't come into play.

The protesters are going to challenge their tickets (akin to challenging speeding or parking fines). Just watch the news (the Government recent legal gymnastics are painful to watch, they should have disturbing arguments warning before playing the segment).
