Are you given drinks vouchers for each night of your stay if Exec lounge not open yet.

EL has now opened permanently again. Visited this hotel two days ago. Offering not same as in old days, but at least full drink offering.

I stayed last week and the EL had just opened. Limited food and drink options- but the drinks were self-serve free pour.

Just arrived here at Paddington. Passed hundreds of times on the train going to work but never stayed.

Girlfriend said it was dated but back in the day it would have been quite glamorous.

Checked in as a gold at the desk. No upgrade

Paid 103 for the night

It's been standard for decades for hotels to have a phone at the toilet. I think it started in the '80s or maybe early '90s but maybe it was earlier. I assume it's a safety feature, as people have heart attacks while using the toilet (perhaps they strain too hard and it increases their blood pressure). Similarly, some hotels have an emergency pull cord in the tub so people who slip and injure themselves can summon help.

"Hello, Room Service? I'd like to order a hamburger, fries and a single malt scotch. Please leave it out side the room as I am occupied right now."

Yes it was £

Walked half hour to Palladium and back for a show along Oxford St. Heading off for a wander along the canal now before checking out.

Really nice sleep with no noise from outside despite window open. We were facing the inner court yard which effectively puts us on top of the train station but you wouldnt have known given how quiet it was.

Breakfast was all self serve apart eggs. Wide choice of cold cuts and the usual. Was busy so couldn't get many pics

@ TBS - Yeah I saw that too, £440 is a crazy price!, I’m considering a little trip away and that was the highest in the uk, even Park lane was only £329.
@ RIchardhall99 - room looks rather decent, I’m guessing they didn’t offer you executive lounge access?

I’m pretty sure scrambled eggs are the default here ( on the carousel) fried, poached or boiled is on request.
