Arrow Waldorf Astoria Bangkok {THA}

Hi All
i live in Chiang Mai Thailand and i see that the WA is opening a new hotel here. Just wondering what Diamonds get at this hotel around the world and if i can expect any benefits being a diamond here? I know its opening in January 2018.
Thanks in advance

I would not bet on an opening in January 2018. It was scheduled to open in 2015 before. ;-)
@robnc35: I recommend to wait with your plans until the soft opening starts. Maybe they will have special offers for that period. Of course there will not everything be perfect during the soft opening, but from my point of view a new and fresh WA can be fun even when it's not all perfect yet.

I would not make a decision before you know more about the WA, since the Bangkok market is in heavy competition hotels are kind of generous with benefits for loyal guests.

But I would guess the WA will be in a total different league pricewise then the other Hilton properties in Bangkok. Anyhow interesting to know that there will be a new choice soon.

It seems quite late for the property not even to be listed as "coming soon" but maybe they are being overly cautious given the previous delays.

I suspect that this hotel won't be all that expensive - there will be times when it is, but probably in the $200/night range vs. $120-150 for the Conrad.

I guess it will be in in the 6500THB - 9000THB range ++ on par with the likes Interconti, the Occura, Siam Kempinski or the St. Regis.

As hotel prices in BKK moved up in the recent years and the hotels try to keep the level a price war like in the past is not what we can expect.

The hotel now has a partially complete website: http://waldorfastoria3.hilton.com/en...AWA/index.html

A few highlights:
• Guest rooms starting at 50 sq. m., with floor-to-ceiling windows
• 6 restaurants and bars, including rooftop dining 57 floors up and a signature Thai Restaurant
• Open-air infinity pool with private cabanas
• Presently accepting reservations for arrival October 1, 2018 and beyond.

Now accepting reservations for arrival August 1, 2018

Tempting, as I will be there from the 13th, but WA rates are 2.25x what the Conrad is currently asking.
