Why is FHR better in this case? Thanks.
Probably because 3 for 2 is useless for a 1 night stay.

Also because if I book Amex FHR I can burn my 200 USD hotel annual credit on Amex.

Yep, I have no reason to pick this property other than using up $200 FHR credit that I had to make booking before 12/31 in part of triple dip strategy with new plat card. Anyways, I guess I'll either leave stuffs and explore steamy bangkok till it's closer to check-in time or find cheaper hotel nearby to fresh up.

hope bull & bear is still a solid place to eat, which I did enjoy 2 years ago and room is great. I like view from pool.

Bull and Bear still has good, but very over-priced food. I still prefer to eat off their menu at the Loft though.
