I was talking about TR, the Harrah's casino program. But I do remember as a (Hotel) diamond at the LV Hilton, we were allowed to access the buffet and restaurant cafe lines. I hope we are able to access them at the Trop as well. It did make a big difference if a conference was going on at the LVH

If 3,000 qualifying points is above your comfort level, Harrahs will sometimes give you Plat if you earn 1,000 qualfying points in one day. It won't get you lounge access, but will get you discounts on rooms at their properties.
I wish Harrah's would change their program to mirror MGM's M program and give qualifying points on hotel spends My wife could get me to diamond or possibly seven seas in one weekend the way she loves to shop if she charged her purchases to a room at Ceasars

Harrahs is still a great program. Last year they had a promo where you could earn $10K in comps and the year before $750 in comps. I earned the max both times. A friend and I travel a lot so we just swipped each other cards at the Kiosks and played. Ceasars Windsor is only about an hour from me, so those points are great to get show tickets comped with and for using for comps at the Qua spa in vegas.

It has been posted here several times golds will get free breakfast (the same diamonds get) and I am sure they will do upgrades for golds if availables.
The only benefits diamonds are getting that golds aren't is the lounge for check in/check out and suite upgrades if available. If a suite upgrade isn't available for a diamond, then the only benefit a diamond receives over a gold is the VIP lounge to check in/check out at.

Since then, there's been lots of comments from Nicole directed to you heavyweights, ie., Diamonds, and lots of speculation from everyone as to whether they'll follow the HHonors T&C's perks for golds, including from others who have not as yet had a stay at the Trop as a gold, just comments from a diamond member's stay.
So I'd really like Nicole to take a few moments to just answer on here our questions as to just gold member benefits for a stay at the Trop, and not as a reference to how they compare to the diamond benefits.
Will we also get the resort fee waived in full for golds?
Will we also as golds get the exact same breakfasts (two in our case) comped as diamonds?
Will we at least get a HHonors line for checkin at the front desk?
While I understand that diamonds will get first shot at upgraded rooms, will golds still have a possibility of an upgrade if any such rooms are still available after all the diamonds have taken most of what's available? Or any chance of an upgraded room at all?
Since the Trop has now been under the Hilton umbrella for almost a month, you'd think (hope) that by now they would have finally decided what HHonors benefits they would apply to each level of membership, and the fact that they're a "different type of LV hotel" shouldn't preclude their following the terms of Hilton Honors for their guests.

why should hotel elites be treated the same as gaming elites? Casinos make a lot more of the guy playing the wheel of death then they do selling me a room at the MVP rate.

True, I saw that way back when Nicole said we would get the same breakfast offers as diamonds. Then more recently several people again asked about the breakfasts for gold because they were as confused as I, no doubt, still am. Also, no final confirmation that golds would get the resort fee waived as diamonds do, and way back in this thread I read that golds too would be able to use the "VIP" lounge for checkins, etc. (no big deal there as long as there's a line at the the FD for Honors members) but that's not a game changer.

Resort fee will NOT be waived for golds unless it's a rewards stay. If it's a rewards stay she was told they will waive the resort fee for a gold.
She was told for breakfast she would receive TWO vouchers everyday for a continential breakfast in the beach cafe but they couldn't tell her the amount or what it would cover.
She was told upgrades would be available based on HH level and availability. One thing diamonds and golds will need to remember is that we will be competing against casino VIP's for upgrades and they will surely get the upgrades first.
She didn't ask about express check in lines. Nicole had stated earlier that only diamonds would have access to the VIP lounge for check in and seeing how easy it is to be gold in the US, I hope they restrict it to diamonds and casino VIP's. She did state that golds would have their own check in line though, and I am not sure if that is still the case or not. I feel the HH check in lines are a joke at most properties. Even blues can use them. At Hyatt they are restricted to Plat and diamonds and Hilton needs to restrict theirs to Gold and Diamond.

Not impressed with Tropicana / Hilton right now.
I checked in at 10pm last night and their was an empty line for Hilton Honors members but nobody was at the Platinum check in desk. As I checked in I was not greeted as a HH Diamond, I inquired about an upgrade and was literally laughed at by the Deleted by moderator lady with her funny little 'hahahaha". I stated I was Hilton Diamond to which she responded you were upgraded to City View (I booked City View/King). No mention of breakfast buffet or coupons, nothing at all.
Got to the room and have to say I am completely unimpressed, my City View is of the MGM parking garage. TV remote does not work, nor did the four other remotes they sent up (problem with the TV maybe). No mini fridge to keep water or drinks chilled. Room is comparable to a 10 year old Hampton Inn, which I would prefer right now.
Elevators are slow here as well, most likely because they are old old old. This irritates me even when there are only 3 floors to a hotel. My pet peeve...
I was scheduled to stay Sunday through Thursday this week and next, but I am checking out this morning and cancelling my remaining reservations. Just not impressed and would rather move now than later.

I’ve spent too much timing reading this thread and am just going to keep the two reservations as part of a Marriott Cosmopolitan hotel-hopping scheme for an upcoming trip. Since, generally, I only eat fruit and yogurt for breakfast I’ll live with the Diamond continental. Frankly, after the value of the points and free mini-breakfasts are factored in, both nights are such cheap stays that it does not need to be great (I don't think that the Trop is excluded from the current double-points/miles promo).
I am a realist: as I find gambling boring I would not expect to be treated like a whale just because of Hilton Diamond status. I did like the terrace rooms and the free access to the spa at the L.V. Hilton, but truth be told I did not much care for that hotel, so I'm not feeling a huge loss.
The Trop pool has got some nice reviews which is (kids)-imperative and although it won’t be as nice a pool as the Mandalay Bay, I am hoping that it keeps the kiddies entertained.

They are participating in the Q1 Double Points (Miles) promo; I checked before booking my one-night stay next month.
Frankly, I'd ask for a manager before checking out, giving my side of the story of Diamond mis-treatment. If I felt I were being brushed off then, I'd report the stay to HHonors for refusal to honor terms, so they have it on record if nothing else.

I just checked out at the platinum counter, they had no interest in why I was checking out 12 hours after checking in for a four day stay. The $19.99 resort fee was on my bill and I asked it be removed for being a hh diamond to which the agent made a snotty comment ''oh, your a diamond''. I won't be back.

The platinum lounge for check-in/out is only for Diamond members, not Golds. There is a separate Hilton Honors check-in line at the front desk, but it is for all levels of Hilton Honors.
Also, I checked out last Monday 1/21, and my points have still not posted. I just called the Diamond Desk and gave them my conf # and they could not even find the reservation. I had to forward them my confirmation email and now I get to wait 5-10 business days for a response........yay!
