More interesting stats. You must be an engineer, actuary, or statistician!!! Your index of base room rate is interesting in that it shows you likely travel for work. 2018/2019 the hotels started gouging biz stays in big cities. Then COVID came and biz rates dropped hugely in big cities and Resort hotels instead started gouging their customers. If your peak rate was higher in 2021/2022, that would indicate you mainly travel for pleasure and are getting gouged on Resort/Pleasure stays.

Pretty good detective work there. The vast majority of my travel is rural locations in the SE-USA. I had a large project in a medium-sized metropolitan area in 2019 which definitely pushed my average nightly rate higher. I think the unique hotels by brand more clearly shows I'm a business traveler than the pricing index. No one stays in that many Hampton Inns for pleasure :D

Just a data junkie who's kept up with my stay data for 10 years. I have all my rental car data, as well (150,000 miles driven, 1/3rd of which was in the last 2 years).

well, I'd say you've won flyertalk this week (year) and are an official flyer nerd hero. Impressive data work.

I made Lifetime Diamond in October of this year. Recvied the email from Hilton welcoming me as a LTD. My status chaged on the log-in page shortly thereafter. (Have not recieved my new card or gift yet but don't really care either way). Took a trip a couple weeks later and stayed at two different properties. Was kind of wondering if I would get greeted as a LTD, (again, don;t really care), but ironically, neither hotel even greeted me as a Diamond, or even acknowledged me as an HH member, which I thoguth was kind of funny...

I stayed at DoubleTree Amsterdam Centraal Station two weeks ago and was greeted (and treated) as a LTD member. The Duty Manager came out to greet me when I was checking in. I got an upgrade to a Suite and some snacks/booze and a small souvenir were left for me in the room (which I don't think is a standard amenity, but I may be wrong). Even though I never expect to be treated any differently from a regular Diamond member, it felt really nice.

How often do folks get the LT Diamond room key jacket?

I think I have gotten it once - when I complimented the FDA she said those were the only jackets they had.

:D

Currently there is a blue jacket in my pocket for my current HGI stay.

There are LTD jackets? Who knew. Of any needed perk, this would not be on my list.

As mentioned in my post upthread, there APPEARS to be an effort to recognize LTD in Europe (in my case, it was Maison Astor in Paris and the Waldorf-Astoria Trianon Palace in Versailles). I then recently stayed at Hilton properties in Dallas, San Antonio, and Los Angeles, and there has been NO RECOGNITION of any kind of my LTD.

In Fort Wayne within the past two years I was given a Comfort Inn key jacket from a Hampton -- "the only ones we have" [Guessing they were stolen from the CI across the parking lot] was the response when I commented -- not so much complimented -- as well...

I've never seen a LTD jacket, though with digital key I'm getting fewer and fewer jackets generally...

For years I have gotten LTD on occasion from time to time. Generally at higher end properties abroad, but not often.

If I ever get a lifetime Diamond key jacket with my room keycard, I should save it as a souvenir, because that likely will be the closest I get to lifetime Diamond. :D

Speaking of which, what kind of progress is Hilton information technology (IT) making toward displaying our lifetime nights in one's account online? ;)

Perhaps their long overdue IT promise will be met this decade?

No Lifetime nights displayed! But once you achieve LTD, it is prominently featured on your account :D

As a further "properties don't know the 'Lifetime' part of LTD unless they go digging" datapoint -- the room TV thing that has been rolling out to US Hamptons/HGIs/Homewoods (not sure if it's intended to cover the full portfolio of brands eventually or just the lower tiers) now includes Honors status in the messaging but omits the Lifetime designation...
