I have used this at Hilton Eilat (Israel) and got a very good rate during peak time (Chanukah Holiday). The rate showed online on Saturday, but could not be booked due to 'technical issues'. Booking was fine on Sunday.

Had an e-mail this morning:

"Find any reason to get away with the Any Weekend, Anywhere Sale. Save up to 40% this festive season or any weekend throughout 2013 when you book a stay by January 31, 2013, at participating hotels and resorts.* Plus, as a valued Hilton HHonors™ member you'll earn a Double Stay Credit for each stay of two nights or more.** Book now or call 08 457 466677.†"

There's a link, but it appears to be broken.

In the past, this promo was aimed at European and Asian properties. The discount in the US - if any at all - was insignificant/much less than in Europe and Asia.

Can I assume these are the lowest rates likely, i.e. the January Sale early?

I believe this is the January Sale

Unlikely that you will find a better sale later, so make your bookings now.

Code worked, but the rate went up from yesterday.

I'm still getting the double credit but the price went up $9/day.

DoubleTree in San Pedro California.

One day's delay cost me $27. <sigh>

Does #2 mean that the rate would not be eligible for, eg, the Virgin Atlantic promo?
As a matter of curiosity, what do you deduct #2 from?

Hi NickB,

normally in the small print of the promo it mentions that this is valid only for new bookings...but in my experience, many times, I have received the extra points/miles for bookings made before registering.
