they only want to provide continental at some properties and full at others. I.had to battle for breakfast coupons at Atlanta airport hotel. A skimpy continental breakfast doesn't get it done on a 200 a night rate imho. I'm about to give up status hunt and just pick hotel with best included breakfast rate.

I'd love for Hilton to have the 24 hour revolving check out that SPG has for their highest tier. They can check in at anytime and then their checkout time is 24 hours later for each day of the stay. So if I were flying into LA and getting to the hotel at 11 p.m. on a Friday for a weekend 2-night stay and taking a red eye home the room would be mine until 11 p.m. Sunday. Would be great for west coast flights since I take red eyes home a lot and usually don't land until late night. Same with Europe stays, I am usually at the hotel around noon and usually I leave the hotel late morning/noon for the flight home. I know I would never have enough nights for that status level (I think it's 90 nights a year) but a great way to reward your really frequent guests.

Do you think this has to do with the room and location of your room? i.e. executive floor King as an example? Perhaps they have less so cannot afford the late checkout on that particular config?

I think a lot has to do with how they manage housekeeping staff. The sooner they get them off site the less they have to pay. Some even do piecemeal pricing paying per room cleaned. Either way, the sooner they can get out of there, the sooner they can get to their next job.

Hilton Aruba Casino & Resort: Called at 9 AM and asked for a late checkout. The agent offered 1 PM and I asked for 2:30. It was granted, my latest ever at a Hilton property ^

Doubletree Austin University Area: Stopped by front desk at 9am to ask for late checkout. They offered 1pm, I asked for 3pm, they gave me 2pm saying they were fully booked for the evening, good enough!

Was in NYC this past weekend and was told by the DT Times Square the latest they would give a diamond or gold was 1 p.m. with no late fee. I had theater tickets for a show from 1 to 3:30 and wish I would have stayed with Hyatt then since a 4 p.m. checkout would have worked perfect that stay.

Data Point:
5/10 Stayed at Double Tree Riyadh, was told at check-in that checkouts at 6 PM for gold members.
5/11 at Double Tree Dhahran, checked out at 4 PM
5/12 at HGI Dubai Muraqabat, granted 3 PM
5/13 at Hilton Sharjah, granted 4 PM
5/15 at HGI Dubai Al Mina, granted 3 PM
In general heck of a lot better than most Hilton properties in North America.

I did very easily get a late checkout of 2PM from Hilton Hotel & Spa Richmond Short Pump. I was expecting pushback based on the times I have asked from other hotels, but I very quickly got a "No Problem" That is always an enjoyable hotel to stay at, highly recommend if you are in the Richmond area.

Went on a series of trips last week, involving Hilton and Hyatt. I am Diamond in both programs (Hilton 8 straight years and counting, Hyatt 2nd time Diamond).
Park Hyatt Toronto - 4pm checkout offered at check in.
HGI Kitchener - "1pm is the best we can do."
Hyatt Regency Cleveland - 4pm checkout offered at check in, which I denied because we were leaving early.
Today, checking out of HGI Miami Airport West. Called Front Desk as instructed this morning to request a late checkout. "The latest we can do is 1pm!"
In 8 years of HH Diamond, the latest I've ever received is 2pm, and that was just once...after much pushback. North America is the worst!
I have never been denied a 4pm or later checkout with Hyatt. If only Hyatt had more properties where I have to travel.
