Hertz.com website issues

Anyone else having problems booking or looking at reservations today?

I've tried several browsers, incognito mode, and even a different PC.

No luck thus far.

Maybe its just my profile?

Sorry, Hertz.com doesn't support Blackberries.

What's the error it's spitting out?

Its just not loading pages for me after I plug in my search parameters. I can't even pull open existing reservations.

Try clearing cookies for Hertz.com. It's working for us.

Is this topic related? Other Hertz.com website issue:

I have made several reservations, but I am not receiving email reservation confirmations as I have in the past.

I have called the IT Dept and they have made attempts to send me emails, but I do not receive them either. My email service receives all of my other email from various companies and airlines, etc., but none from Hertz.

IT Dept told me they made some web site changes very recently, maybe that is the problem.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried using an alternate email address/provider to rule out that it's not on your side?

It did momentarily occur to me to try that, but since I was receiving all other types of email, I didn't think it necessary. I even went to other airline and shopping sites and manually requested emails to confirm everything was ops normal. Those emails were received as usual, and immediately. Also, this abnormality only started within the last week. That coincides with changes they recently made to their site, so I strongly suspect it to be on their side.

I only have this one email program installed on my phone and strongly desire to keep it setup that way.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I would be surprised if front-end changes to their website had any effect on email deliverability (which is typically a back-end service). The more likely culprit is that their emails are going into your spam folder or there is some deliverability issue to your email provider (you didn't mention who the email account is with).

None going to Spam. I'll check with my email provider; I suppose it could be the provider's problem. Probably impossible to track down the problem since I'll tell them all other email is coming through, but I'll try.

Thanks so much for responding... I appreciate your thoughtful suggestions.

If this gets resolved, I'll be sure to post an update.

Oh and one more thing... As far as trying a different email address, you don't need to reconfigure your phone. I was simply suggesting signing up for a Gmail account or something as a test and then booking a new reservation at Hertz.com as a test to see if you get the email. You can just login to Gmail from a web browser on your PC/Mac or from Safari/Chrome from your phone as well. If you want to figure out where the problem is, you need to approach it systematically and rule out one thing at a time.

Same issue for me. Made reservation yesterday. Got confirmation number (and printed it out, I'm very old fashioned like that!). No email from Hertz.
Nothing changed at my end, same email address that Hertz have had on file for over a decade, and used without trouble previously.

I did just do a test booking to be sure and I did get the email. I will say that the confirmation email does look a bit different than it used to but again I received it successfully. The email came from the address [email protected]. Best to call Hertz Web Support at 877-826-8782 so they can investigate.

It is nice to know I am not alone in this problem, but too bad you are also having the same experience. I, too, print all of my Flight/Car/Hotel Reservations. Same email account for over 15 years, no changes on my end either.

I tried a "test" booking using an alternate email address and the confirmation was successfully delivered... just as you recommended.

I had previously contacted Hertz Web Support, to no avail. Today, I was able to get to a higher level of Support. That person successfully sent me an email, but the Res. Confirmation emails are still bouncing.

I also contacted my email provider. They are requesting of me to get the "bounced" email headers (from Hertz) in an effort to track down a faulty path or code. I have made the request to Hertz, we'll see what happens.

If it is only a problem for one customer, I can't expect Hertz to spend any decent amount of time going through massive amounts of code. If no solution is found, I suppose I'll have to change my email address with Hertz. Not a good choice for me, but at least it is a workable option. If there are any updates to be made, I will post them here.

Thank you again for your comments and suggestions!! Very much appreciated.

If you sign up for a free Gmail account you can have the emails delivered there and then auto-forwarded to your other account. It's pretty easy to do this.
