Really appreciate any help with this pricey one-way. The other issue is we would need a large SUV guaranteed (so, even with potential upgrades, I would not want to risk getting there and not having the SUV available for a one-way)

Well I got this respond when I emailed Hertz;
Dear customer,
It seems like you donīt have any extra fee for young driver because of this code. We can not answer if you have permission to use this code or where you have got it from. But to answer your question, yes it seems like the young driver fee is waived.

If so, I get a price of 948 CAD for Jeep Cherokee through the US website without using any codes and assuming your age is 25-49. The amex CDPs (e.g. 211762) usually waive the one way charge (within the same country) if you want to try using one of them on the canadian site.

For anyone who can use this, I saw a posting on Slickdeals.net and bettered a deal posted there. $9.10 for an entire week (economy car) at MCO. One of the lowest rates I've ever seen. Certainly the lowest I've found for booking in a long time.
On the Hertz website, I got it down to $9.10 for the ENTIRE WEEK (not per day) plus taxes (rate will show $44.10 before $35 off weekly coupon). Total $47.44 with all taxes and fees. Use Hertz Entertainment CDP 205521 and Hertz Entertainment PC 179911 ($35 off a weekly rental coupon). These codes are from Entertainment.com (Entertainment 2014 book - codes are valid until June 30, 2015).
It's valid many dates in March 2015. The OP's dates on Slickdeals were 3/14/2015-3/21/2015 but I found it available many other dates. Economy size car.
