Wow...thanks I guess

What I want to know is, how did you book a S60? Or did you just ask them for one. I find it interesting that it's coded G, this is definitely not a coincidence. Do you guys consider it a Premium car or should it be left in the Prestige Collection? I think once upon a time it was Prestige; I find it very odd that they would downgrade a car like this, especially when there's so much of the opposite going on (Aveo as B, Malibu as F, etc.). Maybe I'll cross-list it like I do for the CTS and 328i.

OT but I just tried to do a dummy 2-day booking at SFO to see if I was missing something, and everything is sold out!

I didn't have a reservation, so I walked up to the Gold Booth and said I want a S60. Next thing you know, I am driving it. They also charged me for an F at both locations, getting the S60 (G) was part of my PC guaranteed upgrade.

I consider it a premium car, comparing it to the cars in the "G" class (minus the Crown Vic). I have rented the 2012 LaCrosse (G) multiple times, and that car has more features the Volvo does not have in the Hertz version (i.e., blind spot detection, rear back up camera, HUD, xenon lamps, etc.). The Volvo does not even compare to the LaCrosse in terms of the features.

Also a weird note, both S60s had Sirius/XM radio, including a sticker on the driver window indicating it, but both subscriptions were not paid for. I could only listen to the XM preview station. I don't know if this was just a coincidence, or Hertz is not paying for the Sirius/XM subscriptions in the Volvo S60.

Don't be confused jzweighaft, Hertz's class ratings never really made sense to me.

J, I'll try my level best to get in that '13 Malibu and do a ride report for you on Veterans' Day weekend (assuming someone hasn't pulled it off by then!)

Has anyone seen a Nissan Cube recently? Where?

I love these cars (like mini SUVs) & when at airport would get upgraded to my choice of any SUV (due to 5*). Haven't seen them in Atlanta or area HLEs in awhile though.

In September I did a chat online to Hertz CS & was told they're no longer in the fleet! Can someone please deny this for me? No other non-SUV of the Hertz fleet has anywhere near this type of cargo/overall space....

Thanks!

What about the Impala?

Thanks for letting us know about the Cube though. Periodically I check through old threads/posts and search the forums to see when the last time a model was reported seen (I do this once or twice a month). I'll keep this on my list of things to look for; usually if it's been more than 12-18 months (depending on the vehicle) since having been reported then I will remove it from the list. Of course sometimes this can backfire; I tried to remove the Accord and as soon as I did somebody said put it back, I just saw one today!

Porsche Cayenne Turbo has been added to the fleet. I was in Manhattan this weekend and the 40th street location between 2nd and 3rd had one. The guy said it was an I6. I think the "I" may be incorrect. It cannot be reserved online and is just over $500 a day the guy said.

It was all black with a nice dark tan leather. They got it in last week.

I just picked up another Volvo S60 at SFO and the key ring says YI. It is the exact same car, no extra features, compared to the "G" version I received the previous two times.

Also a weird note, both S60s had Sirius/XM radio, including a sticker on the driver window indicating it, but both subscriptions were not paid for. I could only listen to the XM preview station. I don't know if this was just a coincidence, or Hertz is not paying for the Sirius/XM subscriptions in the Volvo S60.

i think it's because the car was never actually turned on when the Sirius authorization was sent out.

Get the Sirius serial number that the radio shows. Call Hertz cust Service and they will get it turned back on. it may take a few hours. I see this a lot, especially with the "luxury" brands like volvo, mb, etc..

If I'm in for less then a day, then I just tell them when i bring the car back in. they usually mark the window to go fix it...

I got a Ford Expedition XLT today at DCA.
It's listed as a "T". It came with leather seats.

Cool! I was hoping this was in the fleet since it's a good SUV. I'll have an update with this and a few other things later this evening And I now have a backlog of three ride reports to do!
