My personal opinion is that they are done and never coming back. It will also be a very long time before anyone wants to try this again. Shame, really.

FWIW, Matson does not ship Vehicles interisland in covered containers which can expose your car to sea salt on choppy days. Try Horizon Lines which ships in covered containers. Also Pasha is another Matson competitor but don't know if they're shipping interisland.
