Another vote for Madrid. I think Berlin may have an edge on clubs but the rest of the scene (specially if you are under 35) is far superior in Madrid IMHO.

Queen in Paris is good also. But the rest of the scene (except that you consider le depot a club. LOL) is made up of ubiquous smallish bars.

Could you explain what you mean by this?

I'm thinking of adding a stop to an early August trip to BCN. Madrid would be convenient, but I haven't spent time in Berlin or Prague either. Thanks.

Re scene comment and without offending anyone here as it is my experience and view. I always think of the german bar-scene and the berlin scene, in particular, as too dark (S&M, darkrooms, dress codes). While Madrid has all that options, it has in my opinion a bigger number of regular/local bars with a great atmosphere. As a tourist, I also find Berlin 's scene too spread-out. Granted there are a lot of places around Schöneberg but if you are not staying there or want to go to some other area of the city, it is a real hustle.

As also mentioned above, berlin could be better for >35y.

Berlin is a fantastic city and totally worth a visit. I am not a huge fan of prague or its scene but again that is my view.

+1 for Madrid. Barcelona is also fun, but not quite as good as Madrid.
