I go to IML every year and will be there Friday to Monday. I will be at the Hyatt but would rather be at Hard Rock in all honesty.

I am not buying a pass this year. I used to love the HOB and Excalibur parties but they have turned into events more for circuit boys and fag hags than leather guys, so I am just going to buy a day pass for the leather market, if the bus driver won't let me ride the bus we'll just find others to split a cab fare and I'm coming home monday instead of staying for the Excalibur party monday night.

IML 2010

I'm staying at the Hyatt with friends for IML. Excited to catch up with friends from around the country. This is my third year covering the event.

THat is one of the things I look forward to the most about IML and folsom, seeing friends I only get to see at those events. I have a friend from London that attends IML every year and that is the only time I get to see him. I have made a few good friends from those 2 events.

The leather markets is a lot of fun as well.

I just hate how it has become more of a circuit party event though. I used to love the House of Blues and Excalibur events on sunday and monday. Last year at the excalibur black and blue ball (which is suppose to be a leathermans event and used to be) I think there were as many fag hags as there were guys dressed in leather. I wish those events would enforce a leather dress code like they do at the backrooms of some leather bars.

The HOB ticket is not part of the package, but it's so crowded that I won't go. I like the package for the contest tickets and the shuttle bus. Saves a ton in cabs. Jackhammer is having a few parties during the weekend that will be gear only. See you there?

HOB has always been included in the package in the past. I didn't know they weren't including it this year. It has gotten to be too crowded the past few years. They need to start having a dress code for that to keep the circuit boys and fag hags out as well as the excalibur event. I figured buying a t-shirt and splitting a cab on the nights we want to go out will be cheaper than buying a pass. The one thing I did like about the pass was getting into the leather market faster.

We usually go out in boyztown one of the nights and will just take the red line. If we want to go to Jack hammer or touche we will take the red line and to a north station and just grab a cab.

I doubt it will ever be back at the congress. If it is I hope the REALLY renovate that hotel

It's funny that it used to be at the Congress because no nice hotel wanted it. Now that it has become so profitable all the big hotels want it.

I was told before the congress it was held at some smaller property (I think a radisson or wyndham) and the host hotel was shared with another group.
