PS - if you're an unknown (without a history of gambling), go to hotel you like, say, Bellagio while not staying at any MLife properties, and do the following: (1) withdraw, say, $1,000 from their ATM (use a fee reimbursed ATM, of which there are too many to list); (2) make some short term $25 or $100 bets in a slot machine. If you're lucky, you can run some $$ in/out without losing or, even, winning, and they may think you're a potential high roller triggering some one time exceptional discovery offers. Comped room, free play, and $300/day food credit.

If I stay 12 nights in a row at Luxor by booking thought Hyatt.com, will I get credit for 12 nights stayed at my Hyatt gold passport account?
Reason I ask is because I am doing a diamond fast track for my wife to qualify for diamond right now and want to make sure these count first as nights for tier status.

Anyone have any theories on why the tier credit earning in Detroit is so much worse than Vegas. (It's 1 tier credit per base point in Detroit, but 10 tier credits per base point in Vegas). I realize the competitive casino landscape is quite a bit different, but a 90% difference seems pretty severe. It seems unlikely that the slots are that much looser in Detroit (but perhaps they are?). I can perhaps understand adjusting the cash back portion, but why make it 10x harder to reach an elite level?

No. I rarely use or have my players card handy when checking in. If you booked via MLIFE, you're player's number should be attached to the reservation already.

That or the MLIFE credit card. Luxor never asks, Neither does EXCAL. Mandalay Bay MGM and Bellagio have always asked to see the card.

Dang. I'm glad this came up. I've got a Bellagio stay in a few months and would've forgotten to bring the physical card as it doesn't stay in my wallet.

I don't have any personal experience at the Bellagio (yet -- ask me next Sunday!), but I have recently used the VIP check-in area at the Park MGM as an M life Pearl. I didn't need to show my card, but they could verify my status when they pulled up my reservation. I would be surprised if the same isn't true at the Bellagio.

Because your reservation shows that you have the status you need ( Gold and up ) to use the express check in line.
We are Pearl at MLIFE and need the credit card to use the express check in line.
FWIW , Mandalay Bay did not as for the card this past weekend.
THE OP said he/she was recently matched to Gold so it's best if they had the car on them IMO.
