Platinum doesn't get called when boarding
Am I doing something wrong?
I'm platinum elite and I'm noticing repeatedly that platinum does not get called to board after diamond and board-first. We're all lumped in together with zone 1. When I asked the agent that scans your boarding pass, she repeated the verbiage of Diamond, board first and military...pretty annoying.
If that's the case, then platinum is useless. You could just buy a bag or be gold with a free carry-on and be zone 1 just the same.

It's hit or miss. Some GAs will call each tier separately, some call them together, some call them together with military, and some don't call us separately at all. It really seems to just depend on the individual agent and whatever they want to do that day.

Ive been flying F9 alot this year and it seems like boarding is always pretty much just a free for all... the agents all do it their own way. Although, I have noticed a couple of uppity agents lately that have scolded people for standing away from the scanner (probably 6-8 feet at least..) when they make the first PA announcement for boarding. Saying something to the effect of "I haven't called anybody yet, so sit back down now if you are standing up". It seems to be said in a rude and confrontational manner too usually. As if they have the right to decide if I decide to sit or stand at any given moment. Sorry, I am not a puppy-dog for you to order to sit or stand... Chill out and just do your job in a civil manner!

Hi -
First, six feet is not standing away. Sitting in any chair is standing away. Standing by the zone signs is standing away.
Second, instructions from a GA or a FA are to be followed. Write a letter to Corporate if necessary; confronting these people in the moment is not advised.

There doesn't appear to be any actual enforced policy; it really does seem to be up to the GA as to whether they call Diamond/Platinum, all elites, or no elites at all. If you fly out of the same airport three different times, you'll probably have three different experiences with how they call boarding.

We flew 2 weeks ago from MCO to DEN. Since I had not flown Frontier much in the last year or so, I was interested in the early boarding of elites. We have Gold from purchasing it earlier this year.
At the gate at MCO, the gate agent asked for Diamonds and then, I think, board first or military. Not gold, so we boarded in group 1.
Upon landing at DEN, I saw a gate agent there and asked her how elite boarding should go. She said Diamond, then something that I did not catch (probably 'board first'), and then military.
Both MCO and DEN are pretty big hubs for Frontier and have full time staff, so I think they knew what they were doing.
So, sorry that I didn't catch the whole story exactly, but I think Diamond are the only early boarders.

In my experience, only Diamond Elite members are called. The gate agents usually announce for Wheelchairs, then military, then Diamond Elite, then Zone 1.
I was always under the impression that all Elites were to board before Zone 1. But looking at the website, it specifically says only Diamonds are to board. I just go up when I hear them call "Elite members." If the gate agent were to say anything, I would just point to my hearing aids and say I heard "Elite", but not which ones. Nobody has questioned me.
My main airports are CLE and LAS, but even my one off trips to LGA, PHl, DEN have been the same.

Return flight update:
Took two flights this week, SLC-DEN and DEN-ATL.
On first, flight was delayed over 1 hour because of ground stop in DEN. But no gate announcement for early boarding for elites (or military or anyone else except for pre-boarding).
On second flight, announced that early boarding was for Diamond elites only. But my spouse and I (Gold elites) went up anyway and got our BPs scanned without issue.
Btw, there were people with babies that they wouldn't pre-board in DEN. Made them wait until Zone 1! Inexplicable.
