yet southwest still manages to build up DCA. If they want to add service at CLE, they can, and will. Im sure some plane at STL or another focus city for them sits around long enough to make a run to CLE.

Very excited about this, I'm booked on RDU-CLE next Tuesday. It's the second day of service and they still had $39 fares ^

Faremeasure puts JAX-ATL at 720 ppd and I wonder if Frontier will ever consider UST-ATL?

I'd think MDW-UST would be a gold mine. While MDW and ORD both service Chicago, Southwest after AirTran acquisition has a MDW-Florida monopoly and fares are so high on some routes - Spirit effect out of ORD isn't working to make Southwest lower the MDW Florida fares. I'd think Frontier on MDW-UST would be popular.
CLE-UST could be possible, but maybe MDW first since it's a larger market? I suppose it depends more on aircraft utilization though (i.e. where the plane will be based, and part of other new routes with it).

I have a feeling it won't. It's very driveable. I actually took advantage of a one-way car rental out of Florida deal that 's common after Spring Break through Hertz and Enterprise and maybe a few others, and flew into MCO and out of ATL, and passed the St. Augustine/UST area. UST to ATL is a little over 5 hours but it's a fast drive on six lane highways. MegaBus also services it and I saw atleast one bus during my drive. From Megabus' website, it appears between Atlanta and Jacksonville, it goes without stops too.
The other top destinations (in terms of ppd) from JAX are LGA/JFK and PHL (and Southwest to BNA). While I agree with you about UST-MDW, JAX-MDW is at 364 ppd.
More to the point, Frontier has now five routes to ATL without any retaliation by Delta, which, previously, has slaughtered any (non-DEN) attempts by Frontier to break into its hubs. Same applies to Spirit, so perhaps Delta has decided the ULCC's are no threat to its market.
The old, fiercely turf-protective Delta is still around - Delta has jumped on Sun Country's application for MSP-MZO and on PEX's PHF-ATL.
As I see it, UST would give Frontier an entry point to Florida from ATL without testing Delta's present good mood.

Assuming CLE keeps booking the way it is I think it is inevitable that Frontier will add CLE-LAX - but possibly not until the spring.
Maybe CLE-SFO, but Im not quite so sure about that. CLE-SAN - summer seasonal?
I think CLE-SNA is a great idea, but I'm not sure the A319 can make it, fully laden, from the SNA runway. Maybe wait till the A319Neo?

Cle looks like it is off to great start. 2 hour delays on most flights to cities that are not traffic problems.
RSW RDU DEN SEA
when people see this is what they are getting the low fares might not be such a great deal

I flew ILG-ATL this morning and had a 90 minute delay for m/x. A woman next to me at the gate was saying this was her 4th F9 flight this year and they all had delays like this. Very frustrating indeed

"Cleveland's Frontier Airlines is Offering $19 Trips to New York, Chicago, and Washington DC - No Joke
Frontier Airlines the "poor man's" airline that slinked into Cleveland Hopkins earlier this year to fill the gaping hole left by United is offering dirt cheap flights to cities like New York! Chicago! and Washington D.C.!"
"The poor man's airline" - I think they should adopt that as their motto. :-)

TTN-CLE-ORD can be done on as a self connect on Thursdays.
Thursday October 2, 2014
F9 0925 06:25 AM - 07:50 AM TTN-CLE ($39 Economy)
F9 1151 11:15 AM-11:38 AM CLE-ORD ($18.99 Economy)
While there is TTN-MDW that day, this itinery gets one in Chicago by noon rather than evening.
I guess these new routes like CLE-ORD make up the shortest route(s) in the Frontier network? CLE-IAD is shorter as the crow flies but it's longer by actual highway miles, and there is some more mountainous less easy driving.
I'm kind of glad that Frontier will start CLE-ORD even though it competes with MegaBus. MegaBus actually stops in Toledo.
IMO, it might open the door for TTN-PIT or ILG-PIT which are all about the same distance (5-5.5hrs without any stops).
Also from the CLE side, CLE now has more days of service to LGA, IAD and ORD than TTN sadly enough. Maybe ILG-CLE is a possibility if CLE is being built up, as there was that time slot that ILG-DTW got discontinued that would sit well time wise with an ILG-CLE run.

All this point to point service could end what's left at UA. F9 is taking a risk but could pay off greatly if UA shrinks CLE again...never a dull moment at CLE.

I was hoping CLE-UST & ORD-UST, as well. Fingers crossed.

Looks like FLL will end soon but some new ones will replace it:
Frontier Airlines doubles service to vacation destinations, has one-day, $49 sale
Frontier Airlines is doubling down on its service out of Cleveland to four sunshine destinations with a one-day sale on tickets of $49 each way.
The budget carrier announced that it will add frequencies from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport to Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa, Florida, as well as Las Vegas.
