Wow! More new routes, huh? What's next? How about CLE-UST or PHX-UST? When they will consider it?
|
Good news but just a question where are they getting the aircraft to fly these routes. What service was cut.

Great news. Will be interesting to see if UA retreats from the NS Florida routes. Pretty aggressive of F9 to take them on to Florida. Happy to see PHX hoping for all year. MSY would be great and a daily to TTN or twice a day for the commute.

With higher utilization and less-than-daily flights in most new markets, the number of aircraft needed for recent expansion isn't as large as might first seem. However it's not like this is funded with zero aircraft. |

Part of the reason, as Daniel Shurz said, for the build-up is the reaction at CLE to the two previously announced routes - SEA and, especially MCO, which now goes from the initially announced 4 x weekly to 6 x weekly. And although a couple of the articles have said that PHX is seasonal, it does not say so in the Frontier press release. I can't think why it would be seasonal - I think winter would be great for the route. I'm surprised that Frontier has CLE-PHX all on it's ownsome, at least for now. |
Continental was operating as many as 3 PHX flights, added capacity in the spring. Flights always very full but after the merger UA starting cutting back to 1 flight and added another only during holiday periods. Actually last summer they had no direct PHX flight but they did add PDX. Not sure why UA did not keep PHX at least seasonal. I guess when you close a hub no ensentive to operate alot of non hub routes.

My guess is ATL and RDU will be summer seasonal, maybe ATL will go yr round but with limited weekly frequency.
But the CLE-Florida cities will see significant increases by winter during the peak season. |
Surprised PDX isnt included in this announcement. UA ran a very full daily red eye PDX-CLE last summer.

I have a bunch a of flights booked on F9 from CLE. Never flew F9 before. Can anyone tell me if TSA Pre works with F9? Bulkhead row 1 have a wall or open? I looked on seatguru and could not tell. Wishing F9 many happy landings in CLE.
Thanks |

No Bulkhead row 1 have a wall or open? wall Also Frontier probably will match your status with United. |
