I hope they keep the fares low so people will like it!!!

How about free - as in the Trenton Sweepstakes:
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/fronti...173000945.html
"Frontier Airlines today announced a sweepstakes for customers who live in the Princeton/Trenton area and travel through Trenton-Mercer Airport. The sweepstakes, which runs through May 31, 2013, will award weekly and monthly prizes, as well as a grand prize in May. Participants can enter the sweepstakes by registering at Trentonsweepstakes.flyfrontier.com."
The Grand Prize is:
"One grand prize winner will be selected on June 1, 2013 to receive roundtrip flights out of Princeton/Trenton for one year* (one roundtrip flight per month for 12 months)."
I think it;s a great way to get known the area - and to build up the email database. :-)

I just booked TTN-MSY return in March for $200 r/t. Can't complain, as I live just 15 minutes driving to TTN (as opposed to an hour to EWR or PHL) and there's free parking to boot.
I must be one of the very few people who need to frequently travel from the TTN area to MSY, but at least we know there's a minimum of one of us!

Trenton Mercer Airport is a very small airport. Right now it has a few flaws that can be worked around but you should know ahead of time so you can be aware and plan. Also it should be noted that they recently hired an engineering firm to identify ways that these problems can be addressed. I would fly out of this airport even with these problems
#1. There are no bathrooms post security. However there is a seating area right before security and there are no long lines. One should check to see if there are any delays before going thru security. Also going to the bathroom is a good idea too.
#2. No food post security, so again one should make sure there are no delays prior to going thru security and should eat prior to arrival at the airport. There is a snack and soda machine prior to security in the waiting area.
#3. Seating is limited but they only have a few (3 at the most) flights a day so this is okay for now but they are aware of the problem and will be addressing it
Parking is fine. I felt safe leaving my car there as they have a county sheriff substation on premesis. Also it is not in Trenton but a nearby suburb the area is quite rural and is perfectly safe. They are currently building another parking lot for when Frontier expands its service so parking should not be a problem, I believe I read that after the additional parking lot is finished before the new service comes in, they will have 1200 spaces which should be plenty.
I am currently planning a trip to Chicago from Trenton in late May.

They tell you at check-in there is no bathrooms past security and it is also posted at a sign right before security. They will be expanding the post security area so yes I'm pretty sure they will find a way to offer bathrooms post security. My only concern is that because its owned by Mercer County, county bureaucracy will apply and they wont renovate as quickly as they should.

Why any more at TTN than anywhere else? If schedules and fares are good and the airport is convenient, I don't see that this is any more of an issue than at any other city in their system.

Looking at the new schedule, MSY is dropped as of July 29th, Fort Myers & Fort Lauderdale each lose one flight per week in mid-August. I'm not sure if 1) any of this is seasonal or 2) what they plan to do with the extra flights, as none of the other Trenton cities appear to be gaining service.

One Airtran CEO said that eh wished he could close his airline down for September.

Good deals can usually be found during September and sometimes October. I used to have a conference in Salt Lake City that happened every year in mid September, I always got a good deal.

True. But I don't think Frontier would just up and leave in 6 months.

You also want to make sure that the facilities are adequate for passengers to continue to want to use your airport. If passengers dont want to use the airport, then it will be another Colorado Springs.
