Wasn't today the last opportunity for the Best Care Club in MKE?

You are correct... That's likely not going to be a great atmosphere after this.

I imagine it'll always be a route from DEN. But, without the connecting traffic, I don't know how they'll maintain 4 flights a day. Especially when you consider cities the size of Chicago and New York only have 4 each day. I bet they right size it to 3/day like St. Louis and Indianapolis.

They had DEN and CUN out of MKE before any of this fun started. I'd expect those to stay.

I can't really say I am surprised by this news. As for Frontier trying to build focus cities in other markets, they are doomed before they even start. I will avoid Frontier Airlines in the future... even if I have to fly Southwest to do it.

I'd guess DEN would eventually go down to 2. WN/FL is a the largest player in DEN and has connectivity from MKE/MDW/BWI/MCI East. i.e. F9's last hope of connecting passengers from MKE to PIT via Denver probably won't sell well. Same with MKE-DEN-anywhere East/Southeast or CUN.

I agree that DCA might fall next... that's a lot of connecting traffic with few connections. I'm guessing that cutting MSP took a huge hit on all remaining connections.

Any word about those LGA slot transactions? Where did they go? Another F9 city or sold to another carrier?

Inevitable. The fact that some of these routes were the last casualties of F9 MKE is another testament to the awe-inspiring mismanagement that has plagued the airline throughout this sad tale.

DEN for sure would be the last to drop and unlikely even as a small outstation. CUN during the peak FL has 1-2 daily Apple/Funjet charters plus a year round Saturday FL flight.

I'm guessing Frontier's MKE-CUN depended on connections?

The sad thing is Frontier gets the bad wrap, pr, blow to it's image, etc... and not Republic.

Maybe so, but until the recent management restructure, they were one and the same. In fact, other than different boxes on an org chart, they still are.

However, Republic can hide behind the Frontier name. Very few people in Denver or MKE remember that F9 was purchased by Republic. Regardless it sucks to be a MKE flyer on the cancelled flights.

That's true, I largely agree with that. But then again, shouldn't bite the hand that feeds.

As of this morning, discontinued flights are still available for booking on F9's website.
