Frontier changed my flights
Just received an email from Frontier that they are changing my MCI-MCO flights in June from morning flights to late afternoon. Still direct, so they will have to do, although the original flight times were better. Does anyone have any experience in getting a credit for future travel from the airline to make up for them changing the flight (and still taking the filght)? I still need to take the direct flight, but my frustration is that if I were to change the times, I would be charged a hefty fee for each leg, so shoudln't the airline give me at least a credit for accepting their new (not even close to the original) times? I'm sure someone out there knows a lot more about this than me, or how realistic it is to expect something from the airline for inconveniencing me. Thanks in advance!

Not that I would encourage you to not fly Frontier, but Southwest has nonstops on sale from $69 each way, with all different times available. They would get you there in an hour. I would not wait to book, though, as they announced that they are raising their fares, due to higher fuel costs.

They would probably be willing to switch your flight to another date, at no additional cost, if that works better. Right now, it looks like their fares on that route are very competitive.

Take the refund and book with another carrier, if the new times are completely unacceptable.
Schedule changes are pretty much the norm. All airlines make schedule asjustments, however, Frontier has had some radial changes of late.

I actually have the same MCI-MCO leg booked and this schedule change might cause a problem for me, but I won't know for a few more weeks. They notified me on Monday of the schedule change.
Is there a time window in which I need to call and get a refund due to the change, or would I be fine calling at any point between now and the flight?

You'll do yourself and them a favor to pretend you didn't get the notification at this point, and then call them as soon as you know what you want.

Usually an airline-initiated change (a schedule change, bad weather, etc) gives you one opportunity to request they do something different for you. My suggestion is to ignore the schedule change notifiction until you know what you'd like them to do. If you call now and say the change is okay, you'll have trouble if you call back later and say now it's no good.
