40 Local Workers To Be Furloughed

POSTED: 8:11 am CST February 14, 2012
UPDATED: 8:24 am CST February 14, 2012
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Frontier Airlines said it will end eight of its 21 daily flights from Kansas City International Airport in April.
The airline said Monday that on April 16, service will end or be reduced to Milwaukee, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.

Republic Airways Holdings bought Frontier in 2009, when Frontier was in bankruptcy proceedings.

This may provide the impetus for Alaska to start service SEA-MCI. And for AA, LAX-MCI may now be feasible.

Actually, AS has already previously announced SEA-MCI but, I believe DL or AA will reinstating service MCI-LAX.

I can hope for UA to jump in that MCI-LAX route as that would make it a lot easier to get TPAC. They used to run ICT-LAX a couple years back.
