Frontier To Drop 8 Flights From Kansas City
40 Local Workers To Be Furloughed POSTED: 8:11 am CST February 14, 2012 UPDATED: 8:24 am CST February 14, 2012 KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Frontier Airlines said it will end eight of its 21 daily flights from Kansas City International Airport in April. The airline said Monday that on April 16, service will end or be reduced to Milwaukee, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. Frontier spokeswoman Lindsey Carpenter told The Kansas City Star that the flight changes are part of reorganization across the country. She said about 40 employees in Kansas City will be furloughed. This may provide the impetus for Alaska to start service SEA-MCI. And for AA, LAX-MCI may now be feasible.

Delta already flies MCI-LAX weekdays (but that doesn't mean AA won't).

I can hope for UA to jump in that MCI-LAX route as that would make it a lot easier to get TPAC. They used to run ICT-LAX a couple years back.
