Make sure you don't mix that one with the other Hotel Marignan, the one-star one in the Latin Quarter. I've often recommended the one-star Marignan for budget travelers but it's nothing like the kind of place OP is looking for. (-:

My rec is the Pavillon de la Reine. Right on the dreamy Place des Vosges, the most beautiful square in Paris. An totally restored historic building, a bit understated, lots of luxe amenities, but in a quiet way. Right in your budget, too. And yes, it has a Spa!

The neighborhood, the Marais, is just about the hippest in Paris with great little artisan shops, restaurants that go into the wee hours, and a terrific buzz.
