Continuing with its growth strategy, Finnair today announced it will begin flying to Los Angeles, California, as of next spring. Finnair will fly three weekly frequencies to LAX airport as of March 31, 2019. In addition, the new route to Los Angeles will be Finnair’s first US route to be regularly operated with the new Airbus A350 aircraft.

While burning 8,3 tonne fuel an hour, compared to A350 5,8 tonne/h!

Also, when SFO was launched, AY published an optimistic schedule, to which they added some 20 minutes extra per leg before the route started. Perhaps the same will happen with LAX, too?

Finnair's big Buses are returning to BRU in the coming winter, first A333 twice weekly on Wed and Sat (AY1541/1542) starting October 31. According to Aviation24.be Finnair's A350 will replace A333 on Saturdays from April 2019, though their booking site showed from May 11.

What a leap if they're currently operating A319 and E190, as the article suggests. To challenge Mr Fish's statement, I suppose it has everything to do with cargo demand and nothing to do with customer demand.
So, of the morning arrivals, one is flying to LHR daily and another to BRU/DXB (on alternating days, I'd assume). How will this impact irrops and especially the midnight flight to HKG?

With BRU, it’s all about frequency (up to four flights on weekdays). That’s probably why it has been possible to use such small aircraft (E190, A319, with occasional A320) during the last few years (after the A340 flights were axed and they acquired cargo capacity elsewhere). I also bet this re-introduction of widebodies must have to do with cargo.
