Going from up to 3 dailies to 1+? So no more "fly in the morning, have lunch and a meeting or two downtown and back the same night". Just same plane turnarounds, just enough to get something sweet (beigli!) at the Szamos outlet and a bottle of whatever happens to be the wine of the month.

Wonder if this change is due to "economics", as in BUD is not delivering anymore that well, or simple shortage of narrow body aircrafts.

I do wonder where this looming performance can come from....
Didn't Pekkas farewell words contain something about revenue management "finding some anomalies and employing changes that surely will increase revenue"...

European funny pack destinations like BUD MXP FCO face some cuttings every winter.

Why should fly 2 per day to cold BUD if there is no demand.

Are you trying to say that you don't fly like that? Amazing, what people would put up with!

More cancelled long hauls:

One of Finnair’s long-haul aircrafts was damaged at Chicago airport on Sep 25 when a loader machine accidentally hit it. The aircraft is currently being repaired, and we unfortunately have to cancel the following long-haul flights during the period of Oct 31 - Nov 7:
  • Oct 31 Helsinki-Delhi (AY121)
  • Nov 1 Delhi-Helsinki (AY122)
  • Nov 2 Helsinki-Chicago (AY09)
  • Nov 2 Chicago-Helsinki (AY10)
  • Nov 3 Helsinki-New York (AY05)
  • Nov 3 New York-Helsinki (AY06)
  • Nov 4 Helsinki-Delhi (AY121)
  • Nov 5 Delhi-Helsinki (AY122)
  • Nov 6 Helsinki-Bangkok (AY143)
  • Nov 6 Bangkok-Helsinki (AY144)
  • Nov 7 Helsinki-San Francisco (AY11)
