I can't remember if I have 2FA set up, as I've not logged into my account in a while. Tried with both email and membership number. Tried a password reset but that generated an error on the page too. Filled in the feedback form on the website, just in case someone actually reads those. I don't have anything urgent I need to achieve, so will try again at some point.

I'm not able to login to the website lately, after entering my 2fa code, it just loads indefinitely. Came back to the website the next day and seem to be logged in now. Just Finnair IT things.

I tried again yesterday and, you're quite right, it just worked. Thanks for the reassurance!

I am not sure if this is related to this 2FA - but recently it has been quite irritating that one needs to re-login into the app frequently. This is not very handy when you're in a situation where you just want to show your digital card and have no internet/wifi access.
Understand all these are for security reasons, but why make life for customers so difficult...I have at least not and will not enable 2FA until it becomes compulsory.

Cheers!

if no internet you can use sms verification as backup but the app issues are annoying lately

Ive not had the new system yet. Just keep getting logged out every day or two, and then have to type in my FF number (wont accept an email address) and write down the random "=%/#" sort of password Finnair sent me and i cant remember.

Added:
Entered my details, had ti wait 20 secs for an email with a passcode, entered that and taken back to the login page.
worked the second time.

Why cant they just use a fingerprint?

...
It is not just about internet connection, it is about being able to rely on having the info avilable at will. When an app cannot be trusted to do this, there is zero reason to use it. Take a boarding pass for example - you really really really need to know with 100% certainty it will be there when you need it. Boardingpass on paper has this property. An app that has the tendency to log out once a day or week or whenever AY has decided, is no longer an app for the traveller. And sure enough - it is intentional. The app presents itself as a "Finnish retail shop" with the purpose to sell you stuff.
