Great! Is it match (1 year) or some kind of challange like TK has ?

Probably better to ask after new tracking period starts for me, otherwise it will show very short validity (less than 2 month) validity of AY tier.

they dont care as long as your finnair card is valid. Some of the matches I arranged for family and friends were till dec 24 brand new accounts at EB and some were till aug 25 so YMMV

wont usually work, you can allways open a new account or wait for your status to drop to silver and then do a match

The length of the matched status depends on your membership year - their system handles the match as if you achieved the new status in the regular way, so current membership year +1

PS no gift Silver card comes with the new Gold status

except for new memberships, so if a brandnew membership is used its 1year plus the 3month grace period so 1 year

They might be starting to wonder why suddenly so many statusmatch requests but they are very fast. From opening new account to EBG in 40 minutes, valid until Dec 2024.

I think it's not as straightforward as I thought.

My membership year is April, I got SKG until Jun/25
Mrs' membership year is September, she SKG until Dec/24 only.

But service is fast, it took hers 1:08 hrs to be approved.

Interesting if it's a "for AY-only" thing, or if they run it wider.
