Coing back from BER it was pretty usual, no threatening announcements about bags. Can't really hear any of the announcements at Brandenburg A gates so I had no idea about the boarding order.
The gate lady absolutely wanted to tag my backpack as one going under the seat in front of me. Should've just jammed it overhead like seemingly everyone else with a decent sized bag. Not being able to move my legs for two hours revealed completely new types of knee pain. |

It would have been a nice gesture if they would allow elites tl trade say 2x 23 kg allowance for a 32kg single bag instead they now have to carry two bags to the airport and finnair has to carry two bags in the hold
But yeah it is what it is, no nice gestures at finnair as a rule 😁 |

My solution to that 2*23kg allowance but not 1*32kg is to transport a collapsible duffel bag inside my to-be-checked luggage or cabin baggage and then use the duffel bag to quickly split things up to check in two bags — instead of just one — if the airline agent makes a fuss about a bag weighing 24-32kg.

Glad that Lumos have one bag as benefit.
Going to GOT and need screwdriver there, so my only checked baggage is one screwdiriver in and thats all. :) |

Curious if they stuck the checked tag label directly on the screwdriver — as that would be novel. :D When a checked luggage item is in a very light and tiny package/case or otherwise small and light, it may increase the chances of the passenger having a legitimate opportunity to file a baggage irregularity report at the destination. |

dont buy a biltema screwdriver at GOT but a bag at HEL instead to check it then for free ;)
Rusta may be cheaper than Biltema for a screwdriver, and they both often are clustered very closely together in the same area if really eager to comparison shop in person after suffering from AY baggage mishandling of screwdrivers. Maybe also a good idea to look at monkey wrenches in case annoyed with cabin baggage weight limit enforcement. |

A little weight in a taped-in disposable plastic bag can be checked in whether they like it or not. :D
