So… do I get this right? A business classic longhaul gives normally 16k points. Now, it gives 3x so 48k points? As I’m Platinum, I get +25% so 60k one way? Round-trip 120k? There are HEL-JFK-HEL for less than 2k€, so I could pretty much renew my plat for that???

Ridiculous. Earnings-based FFP please…

I hope MAD is included in the promotion as it is an AY fight even if the plane is wetleased. Upgrades etc work just like on AY, so…

If you cancel an award flight, you will get all points back as well as all taxes above 50 EUR. AY will keep the taxes up to 50 EUR. You will not have to pay anything out of pocket, ie if taxes are 30 EUR, that's all you lose.

Does anyone know if I book on the Finnair site so all flights are either operated or marketed by Finnair, but enter in my AAdvantage number instead of an AY+ number, would the triple miles transfer as AA Loyalty Points? Or would I still only get the base miles x cabin bonus?

This is a Finnair Plus promotion. It will not affect the number of points accrued to another program, unless e.g. AAdvantage would start its own campaign.

All fares on finnair.com are included in this campaign.

No need to worry if Campaign Classic is excluded while regular Classic included

Edit: Apologies as I jumped the gun here, campaign fares are currently excluded in this promotion. There's nothing outside of what's listed currently.
Eligible ticket types: all ticket types (Light, Classic, Flex) from all travel classes (Economy Class, Premium Economy, Business Class)

Edit: please see post #349

Any flight that says ‘X airline’ operated for Finnair is considered a flight operated by Finnair. Thus the promotion includes routes like HEL-MAD (Iberia operated for Finnair) and HEL-BGO (Widerøe operated for Finnair).

Eligible flights must be both Finnair marketed and operated by Finnair/Norra. So no, triple points promo will not be applied to oneworld codeshare flights (AY-flight number but operated by other oneworld airline).

How does the triple points-promotion work in regards to flight changes?

E.g. if I book HEL-DFW-HEL today for September, but then change the flights in July to HEL-ORD-HEL in October which causes the ticket to be reissued, do I still get triple points (as the PNR is still from the campaign period)?
