The aircraft is Airbus A319 and the whole crew comes from FlyNiki. There are no inflight sales (Sky Bistro or tax-free) on these flights.

Even more importantly: Without inflight sales, will we be spared the annoying insales video with Anssi Partanen?? If so, FlyNiki sounds great! ;-)

Two more A321 from W2017
Finnair has excercised an option, under the Letter of Intent signed with BOC Aviation Pte Ltd (BOC Aviation) on 30 December 2015, to lease a further two new Airbus A321-200 narrow-body aircraft. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery to Finnair during the winter season 2017/2018. The lease agreements have a minimum term of eight years.

Tightly packed, no front galley wardrobes, or any IFE. Some of these planes are in use already. One cabin attendant apologized to a fellow passenger offering his jacket to be hanged in business class SH - I am sorry but we are using one of these charter buses now...

321:s with winglets: no front storage, no Finnair Business Class text in front of the first row, no IFE, pretty tight seating... Shock and horror, 10:20 LHR-HEL again onboard one of those and behind the curtain yet, if an upgrade does not clear at the gate.

I guess this topic would be the best suited for my question...
Do you guys know if AY has a process of actively informing passangers about equipment change (other than the A350 is delayed, so you'll fly something else "campaign" they had last year)? Cause if they do, they've failed on it miserably.
The other week when starting my trip to SIN, my first flight was AY operated HEL-LHR. I've booked the emergency exit row aisle seat well in advance, as with my height that is more or less the only comfortable seat on AY's A32X fleet. The plane was supposed to be an A320, but when boarding noticed that we were getting on an A319. My seat was number wise exactly what I've asked for, but it was one row behind the exit row, due to the aircraft's different size...
For all honesty, I don't know anymore if the plane was changed last minute (we had a delay due to late arrival of plane), or already previously switched to the smaller one, as for the first time I was just simply clicking through check-in, without actually verifying all the details (lesson lerned, never do that again...).
