''A meal containing only kosher foods and prepared by a reputable specialist kitchen.'' is the description - and it sounds as if it is prepared somewhere else.

I found a Master thread with a Wiki in the Religious forum , the Y kosher meals are by Stogel Long Life, so basically frozen dishes from somewhere. I don't know about J meals but would assume same thing.

I think you'd be out of your mind doing that, since Jewish kosher airline meals are unfortunately subpar due to how they're procured and it's not just AY. Like miamiflyer8 described it, they're from a third party, unless you happen to fly LY. The kosher meals are never fresh, so that's why I said you'd have to be out of your mind.

No, you should order the raw vegetables or the fruit, since you're in C. Then, share a photo of your catering misery with us, so that we can point and laugh.

Most AY J meals are frozen meals prepared in Germany. I suppose the longhaul rainbow trout is prepared at AY kitchen, but shorthaul meals very much look and feel like they're flown in deep-frozen.

On short European flights, "Vegetarian Vegan" meal is tofu salad (I would post a pic but it is not allowed for new users). But do anyone know what is the Vegetarian Vegan choice during morning flights?

And what alcohol is served on shorter European/Nordic -flights business class? I know there is white wine, red wine, Champange, Bailey's but what else? Asking the flight attendant, I got the reply: "well, what would you like to drink?"

In addition to those, I think beer, cognac, whisky, gin, vodka.

When flying with buddies in businetic we usually order one of each alcoholic drinks. Usually we only get served 2 at a time.

One Internet Cookie(tm) to mr. Nordic =)

We have also finally booked another trip in C to KEF. Let's see how the catering is for long intra-scandinavian short haul. Last time AY operated this (pre-pandemic!) there was speculation about HEL-KEF being the next route in line for upgauge to A350 and the salmon was fresh. Now... I'm left wondering if they're going to even restart the flights since FI will quite probably restart their service concurrently.

First adjustments to KEF were already done. My flight was cancelled and hence travel moved automatically by one day.

Same here - and it rendered the whole trip useless. Postponed and now trying my luck in August.

Without Asian pax, I can't see KEF flights having much future.

Im very curious to see what a “tofu salad” is. Sounds appalling
