On ARN flights, a cold sandwich with beverages is served. On all other SH flights, the service includes "a hot main meal, something sweet and beverages".

Beverages include sparkling wine (Bernard-Massard Cuvée de l'Ecusson), white wine, red wine, beer, cognac, whiskey, vodka, cream liquor and soft drinks.

Iberia-operated MAD and BCN flights have Iberia service with starter, hot meal and proper dessert. On these flights, a different set of beverages is served (IB selection).

Maybe they just classified the sandwich as a main

We'll, probably not as CPH-HEL says sandwich...

If this is correct, it would seem that they extended moniker "short flight" to cover flights below ~2 hours, making intra-nordics go from sallad to sandwich.
Funny the press release only talked about some salad routes getting warm meal and not the downgrades...

Curious to see if this means the end of the starter as previously suspected.
Longhauls say "2 meals: a main meal + a snack or a light meal"
So saying "main meal" doesn't really tell us very much..... and indeed interesting to see what's on the SH tray...., I guess it will look even more empty, and what do they mean by "something sweet".
The new summer menus for longhauls haven't been updated even they are supposed to start tomorrow.

For me HEL-CPH and CPH-HEL it says main meal, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks Perhaps a main sandwhich or do they even know themselves what they are going to serve onboard?

I can see the following for HEL-LHR on Friday of this week:

Confirmed for this flight
  • Fish and shellfish meal (Business Class) (SFML)
  • One meal service: A set main course
  • Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the flight

Mystery solved!

It is only swedish speaking people who will get a sustainable sandwich!

I am flying AGP-HEL. Got an op-up, which is very rare for me. The plane is completely full, moved from 10D to 1C. My plan of smoothie and cheeseplate turned into what was actually a good meal: crayfish terrine (tasty!), butter chicken (very tasty, restaurant quality even) and Marabou chocolate wafer (meh).

Actually, the upgrade became sort of needless, as they offloaded 2 pax at AGP before departure (and we are now 80 mins delayed and if I understood it right, the crew sort of timed out, too, but all agreed to fly home tonight; kudos to them!).

The website now mentions "On flights to/from Stockholm Arlanda, we offer you a sandwich with a selection of beverages. On all other European flights, we serve a hot main meal, something sweet and beverages.".

Updated wiki to reflect the change.

I‘ve seen a meal picture on FB from HEL-VIE and HEL-HAM. It‘s a warm main course but no starter, and „something sweet“ is a prepackaged muffin of sorts.

Hamburg I can understand, but not Vienna. I think there was no appetizer on <2 h flights before the last enhancement. But nothing on longer flights is not good. Well, we have not seen any report from >3 h flights.

Anyhow, the breakfast looks nice and even the cold cuts seem to be a bigger portion than before (I’m not 100 % sure as I usually order VLML/SFML/AVML/VGML)
