I just changed my seat with 7500 points to 8A on HEL-ARN.

So long flight that flat seat, food and drinks are absolutely needed.

Yes, that's a good question. @:-)

I wouldn't mind an attractive escort waiting for me at the gate and leading me thru security to that massive ARN T2 shopping heaven to buy some snus and after that offering guidance to the lounge.
And 15 minutes before the returning flight personally coming to lounge and escort me back to plane and at the gate wishing nice flight back to Finland with nice smile and asking when are You coming next time Mr OH-LGG.

I've booked myself on flight AY852 from Hamburg to Helsinki on Oct 11 and will be connecting to the airberlin flight home afterwards. Seat 1A is already taken, so I've opted for 5L to get a better view of those mighty engines

Any idea why http://www.finnair.com/go/2015.5-65/...50_seatmap.jpg is showing the J seats A-DG-H but all bookings show A-DH-L?

Still blocked on the inaugural AY421. Pretty bad, because there is still decently priced tickets available. They cannot have sold much outside the initiated crowd, because there is even availability in 'G'.

Was tempted to join but no way I'm going to sit in the back on this one. Anyway, hope you all get to keep your seats and have a marvellous flight!

On AY369 my and friend's 1A & 1D were bumped to 26AB few days ago. It took some explaining but eventually we got the seats back. Had few arguments over the phone, but it was actually Twitter customer service who fixed it after couple of messages.

can this block of J and comfort have anything to do with staffing?
Or will they fly these domestic sectors with full longhaul staffing?

There is a requirement for a minimum number of crew per seat (not per passenger) so even if the A350 flew with a 50% load, they would still need to reach the minimum crewing level. In any case these are crew training flights as much as anything else so there will definitely be a full compliment of crew needing to familiarise themselves with the aircraft.

I suspect they want to keep a certain amount of up front seats for AY staff from various departments who will be monitoring the flights. This was the same with the BA 787 and A380 European flights a few years ago.
