Just now Expertflyer shows for this flight
- all J window seats are occupied
- J middle pairs only row 3 is taken, others are free.
- Y has 3 seats occupied. Someone has "misoptimized" themselves one of the great Y seats, 42A exit row, instead of a J seat ;-)

Upgrade with points wasn't available for any of those flights so I might as well cancel them...

When I called plat desk, they told me no award slots available. I asked if they could reconsider a plat member as the flight will certainly not be full. She said she could look into putting me on a reserve list and call back. Soon she called back (maybe consulted a manager) and said she can book me 2 one-ways so 12k+12k points in total. I accepted ^
