For the FRA flight Oct 7 I wonder if there's any possibility we'll have enough English speaking people on it to book one of the FRA tours. They only do English language tours for groups and a group has a minimum price of 375 Euro. If we could get 10 or so people interested it might start to make sense.

I took the standard German tour once during a long layover. I could understand some of what they said with my limited German skills, the guide information was quite basic and oriented towards non-aviation people ("this is the business flight area", "see plane being refueled", "here is the fire stration", "this is cargo terminal", etc.).

I have since recommended the FRA tour to people even if they don't speak much/any German, as most FTers know enough about aviation anyway so no guidance is really needed, we know what a 747 is ;-) The tour is pretty good even if you just look around by yourself.

Any news on delivery?

According to online hobbyists, OH-LWA is supposed to be delivered sep 15, but still isn't fully assembled. Actually, last week it was listed as "Awaiting first flight" but has since then been moved back to station20 "Engine attachment".

According to this site it is waiting for fist flight in Toulouse. But I'm not sure how reliable the information is...

Wouldnt it be nice to be on board this delivery flight?

I Think we active FT Plats should be there. Or what?

Well, you are 'the famous one' so perhaps you can ask them nicely? I mean, hasn't it been said "Oh, I see OH-LGG is onboard - I guess we can take off now!!

Luckily my planned business trip schedule matched with the A359's SH's...

Got seat 1L on Oct 14th from AY703 HEL - DUS.

I bet it will be bit more comfort compared to E190.

Everybody check your seating on domestic flights! Apparently many people have gotten bumped out from their selected seats.

My seat shows now 12A for both AY421 & AY428. Those who didn't pay for the seats were thrown into back of the bus (gold & plats).

Business seat was sold as extra legroom seat 12€ per leg during reservation.

What do you mean "pay for the seats" for a domestic oneclass flight?

You are right thought about seats bumped. Again. I checked mine and they are back of the bus now I had already experienced this once and had to call to replace them back, and at that time the rep blamed "equipment change " and did not know anything about A359..."^"

Oh I really really hate to call again AY+. I'm on the first RVN flight, but interestingly, the next roundtrip where I did not even manage to get free biz seat but rather a lowly cattle class seat, that one is bumped too! Indicates there are some IT glitches spooking around

This is bull.

Hei ja kiitos viestistäsi.

Valitettavasti näiden lentojen bisnesluokan paikat eivät ole varattavissa. Näillä lennoilla ne on varattu median edustajille ja kutsuvieraille.

Pahoittelen asiasta aiheutunutta vaivaa.

Ystävällisin terveisin

Ahaa, can that be the reason? While we who were the first day to book and we got biz seats for free, have they later started to sell those seats under our buttocks for a 12€ legroom bumping us out perhaps?
If there is someone who would have better connection with AY reps than the ones who answer Plat line, would be great to ask the a more coordinated question on this whether we should pay that 12€ to keep our seats?

I wouldnt want to skip the whole party just because I don't have energy to play this stupid seats-go-around game
