This is hilarious FFlash, I'm glad I found it and thanks for the laugh ^

Now that I have run U and X for the first time, I add them on the list

U - Utopy class. Unachievable without credit card churn

X - Xmas gift. Your friend when cash price ticket has risen wAY above your pocket

I'm suggesting an adjustment or addendum to the original. These fare interpretaions are mostly suited for shorthauls.

I - Inferior class. You are seated in row one but chances are they deplane through back door and you will be the last one off.
D - Dough class. I paid too much for that stripped off service.
C - Cocktail Cabin Class. "I wonder if I can drink enough to make this ticket worth the money". (alternative: Company pays class, and I don't care. )
J - "Jumalauta, that's like 3 times more expensive than Inferior class!"

intuition Oct 13, 2015 5:36 am

Valid on E90:

C - Cosy class. We will void any seat block privileges so you won't feel lonely up there on row 1.

:D this perspective is quite Careless indeed

These fare class meanings are great. I do have a quick question just for confirmation. I have done a lot of searching and want to confirm that X is the economy reward fare and U is the business reward fare for AY? Is there another code for business rewards, I never seem to see U rewards available?

intuition Feb 16, 2016 1:44 pm

X and U is indeed economy and business award fare class. If you are searching on sites like expertflyer, I don't think you can see U availability ever.

There's also F, which is business class for upgrades. A bit different from U, of course.

I happened to review this thread and found out that actually intuition is right, based on the recent reviews and opinions of A359, the definition of I class will be Inferior class :D
I will let our friend intuition to invent a fair explanation to it, he will certainly have warmed loose his verbal tongue after another famous C1-C3 trip ;) all on A350! (will it ever happen twice?)

You all must have googled this somewhat outdated(?) pdf: http://media.finnair.com/files/pdf/F...l_Agencies.pdf

I still find it useful every now and then, e.g. when decrypting what my travel agent is offering me.

Added a Wiki. Thought it would help for people asking multiple times these.

BTW OT, I reckon that one of our friends cracked her case quite fast, her posting became very short last time? ;) I kinda miss her

I wish they'd let her come back so that she could write a trip report of her flights in January :D
