This Wikipost is community-maintained and For Information Only. Note that not all information may be up to date and should be used at your own risk.

Safe - Immediate turnaround is easy, i.e. according to experience it is possible to reach departure gate quickly and without extra security check when doing same plane turnaround.
Intermediate - Immediate turnaround is doable, but requires e.g. extra security check.
Risky - Immediate turnaround not recommended. (See notes.)

TO KEEP THE WIKI AS COHERENT AS POSSIBLE, PLEASE USE "SAFE", "INTERMEDIATE" OR "RISKY" APPROPRIATELY! (I.e. no "Safe" for stations that require any kind of security or transfer check, not to mention going landside, etc.)

Immediate turnaround information for European AY destinations:

ACE: ?
AGP: Safe (Arrivals pour directly to departure gate.) Details here from August 2022

VRN: ?
WAW: Safe (Arrivals pour to departure gate.)
ZRH: Safe (When exiting the bridge, you are under the gates and there are inclined speedwalks that bring back to the gates upstairs.)

Immediate turnaround information for selected longhaul AY destinations:

DEL: Intermediate (There's plenty of time for the obligatory visit to the transit desk and security. However, you'll need a self-printed visa confirmation to show the gate agent at HEL.)
DOH: ?
DXB: Intermediate (Follow "connections" to security downstairs and after that go to transfer desk if needed.)
JFK: Intermediate (Generous time with the new schedule, but you'll need to clear US immigration so ESTA or visa is needed.)

Ugh. Couldn't resist these fares, doing a quick weekend jaunt to California in May. Could upgrade the inbound LAX-HEL right away and just waitlisted the outbound HEL-SFO which I assume will clear later today :-)

UPDATE: The upgrade cleared in like 2,5 hours. Not bad.

Kiitti

80k required for AY+Gold, the deal earns 10k + status multiplier => 7,5 deals but with feeder on AY more likely less than 6,5.

I presume a same plane return to/from VIE or FRA won't be a problem, right?

I don't know the schedule for VIE, but at the morning departure to FRA and back you have over 2h time until the plane returns. So even in case of a delay there is a lot of time despite have nearly always bus gates.

Yes, the morning rotation to FRA = no risk at all.
The evening rotation can be tighter if you get a remote stand (which is far too common at FRA) because they like to board the bus kinda early. Still, I'm sure they'd wait for you.

I've always gotten a jetway at VIE (both E190 and all kinds of Airbee) so it's even easier there.

And obviously you can stay airside at both places.

Of course you don't have to sit in the back...

Just 2 ex-EUR longhauls in C will take you to Gold (OWS - remember that BA Gold is OWE, which would be AY Plat) - at least time-wise it's much more affordable, and you can grab cheap deals to DEL, BKK or mainland China.

For the same money, we were getting double points (no tier bonus) on AA code. Oh, I miss that already ...

As a Plat, AY Codes on VIE-HEL-JFK gives you 77% of points what AA codes used to give you in the past...

This sounded way too good to miss, so booked the same FRA - SFO / LAX - FRA!
