Disagree. I don't think most folks don't desire to spend their whole life in hotels and being away from home for long periods of time. Most of us have a life.

Was talking about the general majority of blogger attacks. I think that deep down many people are angry because they feel that they could be having the same lifestyle/income as the top bloggers and put on a better blog as well.

Except it's far harder than it looks to run and maintain.

Not what I was referring to. Regardless, Ben was successful at what he was doing working from home as well. He travels because he enjoys it, but there's no need to be a nomad to be a successful blogger.

In my Buzz-ing around every day around Feedly to pick the worthy blog posts to post in my blog I see what appears where first. I can now tell what will appear where. For example, when I saw the post at Milecards about the Delta Business class space to Europe I knew it won't be long before it ended up in VFTW. But as a travel thought leader...shouldn't other bloggers be following the leaders? :-)

Anyone know who is behind milecards?

Is Drew at Travel is Free okay? The pace of blogging has dropped of cliff lately!

If you steal from one it's plagarism. If you steal from two it's editing. If you steal from more than two it's RESEARCH! :D^

I love it when folks who brag about sitting up front as if they're some sort of pasha (passively/aggresively) complain about having to leave tips:

Interesting that there hasn't been a post in this thread for over a month.

I have largely stopped reading his blog as he is a bit of a bore.

Would the Government Have Shot Down a Flight Trying to Avoid a Helicopter?

Gary's the Steph Curry of clickbait: a wonder to behold. ^

I'm not sure I'd take that as an example of "clickbait" as much as I would take it as a post rooted in a recurring theme about the role of fighter jet intercepts/"escorts" when commercial passenger jets are "off" in some way/ways. VFTW's author has been writing about the issue before.

VFTW deletes its "Amex Layoffs Have Begun" post

I can't recall seeing this happen before at VFTW. A few days ago Gary posted an article recapping news reports that Amex is planning layoffs after the loss of Costco. I commented something to the effect that Amex's sex appeal is wearing thin after several decades, much like Mae West's. Now the article is gone. I wonder if Amex told Gary that only good news about them is acceptable on a blog that earns referral fees from them?

84fiero Apr 19, 2016 6:10 am

I'm still seeing it.

Same here, and it comes up in chronological order the same as usual.

Weird. I looked and looked for it. My bad. I have to admit that removal of the post made no sense, so its non-removal makes sense!

Moderators, please merge this with the main VFTW thread.

The post about the stinking lavatory was so so stinky, wow!

My opinion only.

Followed by Selina Gomez banned in China!

Wow
