Five hours in CPH
I have managed to arrange my flights to Greenland so that I arrive in CPH with a few hours to kill and maybe get in a walk and a visit to something interesting. Right now I have a reservation at the Airport Hilton, so I have to ask -- can I get in around 12:30, drop off my stuff and get in to the city and see anything before I decide to crash and burn or should I skip the airport and stay downtown and take transport to airport in the morning?
FWIW, this is late August, so I assume its still quite light and pleasant to walk around for a few hours.
Thanks for any help,
lala

Last year I had flown to Greenland from CPH and I stayed also at the Hilton Airport Hotel. I booked a rate, which includes a Tivoli ticket and a transportation ticket. I would go into the city, because what would you do at the airport ?
Enjoy Greenland !! ^

SZG --dying to hear about your trip!
I'm was going to stay at the SPG in CPH until I heard about its current renovations. So I'll stick to my award reservation that has me at the Hilton at the airport and take the train to Tivoli gardens and get in some sights.
I hope three hours will be enough.
Any must sees?
I need to get some walking in that day, so I'm game for almost anything.

With 3-5 hours you'll be able to walk around the city, see the 'Little Mermaid'-(--it really is small!) tour the harbor area, Tivoli Gardens (right in the center of the city), grab a bite to eat etc. Stay with the Airport Hilton, this way it will be easier (and probably much cheaper) to get back to the airport the next day.

The CPH metro goes all the way out to the airport and is a wonderfully easy way into and out of the city. It's definitely worth the ride, if only to have a walk around. CPH in summer is a truly beautiful and enjoyable place! There's a harbor tour by boat that boards a few blocks from the Kongens Nytorv (as I recall?) metro stop and takes maybe 45 minutes. Good fun if it's a sunny day. If you walk over to see the Little Mermaid, the old military fortification 'Kastellet' is nearby and is (partly) open to the public. It's a terrific place for a picnic.
