How quickly does status update

Hi
I'm flying on Saturday morning in J and the tier miles from that journey will be enough to take me to Gold. I'm then flying again early on Monday in economy and hoped that the miles would've credited and my status updated so that I could take a guest into the lounge. Does status update that quickly?

Thanks in advance
G

Usually miles are credited immediately. Therefore Zou should be all right

Hi Gelksy, if your Etihad Guest Number is quoted in your booking and it's matching your first and last name, you will be fine, however it may take up to 7 working days for the miles to be credit. We recommend you to contact us after your flight and we will try to check with our Etihad Gues Team to credit the miles for you and process the upgrade as soon as possible.

You can contact us via social media channels on facebook and twitter: EtihadAirways.

Regards.

Thanks, I'd rather hope it doesn't take 7 days to credit the miles and that the 'upgrade' to Gold will happen immediately - though from what you say that sounds unlikely.

It's unfortunate that I was credited with zero miles having upgraded with plusgrade last week (a known issue) - as my reliance on quick crediting of miles this journey wouldn't have been such an issue.

I'll contact the service centre after my flight but unfortunately don't hold out much hope given past experiences - I stand to be surprised...

I'm hoping to use plusgrade on my DFW-AUH-DFW flights so just wanted to clarify what is the known issue. Is the issue that plusgraded flights don't get miles instantly (and you have to report it) or that EY is somehow skimping out and not giving J-level miles for plusgrades?

Thank you!

It's that Etihad credit you with zero miles (not even for the economy leg) - you have to request the miles and then wait a couple of weeks. Not helpful in my situation

Hmm... Thanks, will keep that in mind. Although, I would credit to ANA or KE anyhow.

Thanks, the miles have credited my account but status hadn't changed. I contacted Etihad by phone - who said yet couldn't do anything and that I'd have to wait for te status to change.....
