New Website - continuing issues...

New Website - continuing issues...

I know this matter was raised before, but did no see any recent posts. I am still finding the new website problematic, was curious if others were also facing these issues or not:

1) Online check-in: I tried to do this while flying out of AUH a couple weeks ago, and was unable to do so on two separate attemps. Each time the website froze halfway through the process.

2) Etihad Guest: if you use a "username" as opposed to your account number to log in, it is impossible to redeem an award online. And the account history page appears to be the old style/system while the award booking page is the new style/system.

Our office has a large amount of people flying EY, and the office travel desk has been telling us of continuing issues with new system.

Am I missing something, can anyone else share their experiences or advice on how to manage online check-ins and award bookings?

I have a variety of issues with the website:
- When you click on the Etihad Guest link at the top of the page, the new page does not have a log-in option. The only way to log in is to hover over "Etihad Guest" then click on log in
- Once you have logged in, there's no indication that you are logged in.
- The drop-down which appears when you hover over Etihad guest has two options, but only one is clickable (the other just says "Etihad Guest" again)
- The My Trip option at the top right doesn't do anything unless you click, whereas other options (e.g. Plan and Book) appear on hover over
- There's no obvious way to get your current miles balances or other account info
- Once you've logged in, there's still a link to "Log in to Etihad Guest" at the top of the page and the text below says "Join our Loyalty Programme" even though by definition you will have already joined it if you were able to log in
- Once you've logged in, and click on on a link below "Join our Loyalty Programme" it takes you to a more useful site (the old site) where you can actually see what's going on, but this opens in a new tab or window.
- Once you're logged in and finally made it to the redeem miles page and search for a flight, the website then tells you "Etihad Guest Login required" even though you already logged in
- On the redeem a flight page, once you've found a flight but decide that you want to go back to search a different date or route, there's no link to do this. If you click click the "Search" chevron, it takes you to a page for money bookings, rather than redemption bookings.

Very true indeed!

From a user standpoint, its apparent that they really did not think through the basic and most obvious aspects of the redesign. They put in some effort into the "look" but clearly messed up the operational aspects - a glaring case of form "not" following function.

Sigh....
