Rather than start a new post I thought this would go ok here:

We (partner & I) are travelling CHC-SYD on Feb 8, returning on Feb 11.

I am in F, partner is in J. We are both Silver members.

A friend who is coming with us booked a ticket in economy. We used the last of our son's miles to upgrade him on the first sector, so he is in business on that leg. So everything fine there, lounge access/limo etc all provided.

However, on the way back he is still in economy so does not have lounge access. Has anyone had experience guesting someone in to the Sydney lounge based on their F/J boarding passes? I know this is not strictly within the rules, but at times some agents in various locations permit it.

Failing that - is anyone flying SYD-CHC on Feb 11 & is willing to guest him in on our behalf?

TIA for anyone's experiences.

I can't really answer the question - I suppose it depends what sort of mood the lounge dragon is in.

However, when I did the same journey a couple of years ago, there were a total of 2 (count 'em!) people in the SYD lounge. I was the only transit passenger.

So, I don't think they'll refuse you on overcrowding issues

Cheers,
Rick
