Transfer to EK from IR
Does anybody know if it is possible to check in my bags from an IR flight to an EK one
I'm on the IR flight coming in at 23.00 and leaving on the EK to Amman at 8am the following day
I want to stay in transit at the DXB airport hotel and do not want to go outside to clear my bags
Will it be OK
Any suggestions

Should be possible. I'd done transit in Mehrabad without getting out the the secure area with no problems back when IR and EK both used it. I would call EK to make sure they still have an interline agreement with IR. If so, just show both tickets when you check in and the bags should get tagged all the way through. It depends on where you are originating though. If it is not Tehran, some stations at smaller Iranian airports don't use computerized bag tags. They just use tags which have the airport code preprinted on them. If this is the case, you may have to trouble getting them to take the bag over to EK.
Most likely you would have to stop at the EK transit desk in DXB to get your boarding pass or if you have internet access you can do online checkin for EK and have your boarding pass on hand as well.
