EK just chose to renovate their 77W with a "new" product which is uncompetitive with a number of other airlines' J product several years old.

This isn't the right thread but something that occurred to me is that we don't know the overall cabin design EK will be adopting. This wasn't shown at the launch AFAIK. I recently travelled on a two-class 777 in J and they didn't have the center hatracks and a small area for snacks etc which I believe is common on some of the 777s. This opens up the cabin a lot more and I think makes J feel more spacious even with the same seats. Let's hope they have some innovation in that area at least...

A380-800 Bulkhead Seats
Hi All, I have currently selected 45E for the second leg of my journey from DXB to BKK. As this flight is an early morning flight at 3.00am i was thinking to take advantage of extra legroom and a couple hours sleep its an advantage.
I know its not the ideal position in terms of direct aisle access My friends have selected 43 KJH and 44H i have the option to select 42 J 46 G 48 H Should i stick with the bulkhead or what should i switch too? |

I would stick with bulkhead personably, it gets really tight back there when the plane is full. By the by 3am is not "early morning" for EK flights I would imagine slow time to be noon !!!
I will look forward to my 2 flights in business on the return from Phuket to Dubai and then 4 days later Dubai to Dublin unfortunately both legs are on the 777-300ER I will have to plan my next venture in Business on the A380 |

Can anyone tell me if I made good seat choices in F for these EK segments I'll be flying in March?
- JFK-DXB on the a380-800: seat 2k - DXB-CAI on the 777-300: seat 2A I booked way early, so I can easily make changes, as the seat maps are still wide open. I'd like the most private seat with 3 windows. |

Is there a difference between seat 1A and 2A on the 777-300? I didn't choose a 'K' seat on the right side of the aircraft because that's where the galleys are.

A door? The seats in F on the DXB-CAI route have doors? I hope you're right, because I had assumed this route utilized the old F product (which don't have doors).

http://www.theeksource.com/flyingemirates.html I'm not surprised that I'm getting an inferior product on the second segment of my trip. That's pretty typical when you book with miles (Alaska). It would have been highly unusual to get both flight segments in a flagship cabin. |
