I don't know for sure, ( as I haven't sat in these seats) but every aircraft that I have been on, that doesn't have another seat infront (except J and F) has the tray table in the armrest, making it immovable.

Tray table and ICE screen in the armrest, so definitely immovable.

I seem to remember that, although D and G seats have fixed armrests both sides, the armrest between E and F was movable.

Hi All

What would be considered the better seat in J on a 77W? 7K or 8K? I like my window seats but just wondering if there is a major difference with sitting in 8K with the bulkhead.

Have already sat in 7A and the mini cabin had a nice feel to it.

Grateful for your insights.

row 7 in the mini cabin everytime. Row 8 is the bulk head and I really don't like the screens on the wall.

Thank you m3red ^^

I'm in 7K for one flight and 8K for the other but could change to 8K for both but not 7K for both. Will stick as I am and compare the two.

Thanks again.

Another vote for 9 here.

Travelling solo in Y on the A380. Are all bulkhead seats created equal? I can presently select between 45D/G and 52K. Are the monitors for these seats mounted on the bulkhead wall or stowed in the armrest?

I always try and pre-select 45D if travelling on the A380 in Y. I've just come off a flight sat there today. That and 45G are to the side of the stairs and have lots of legroom. Unfortunately, that row is also a bassinet position which is a risk. The monitors and traytables are in the armrest.

I can't comment on 52K, but have a look at the Google Maps walk through on the EK website to get an idea if no-one else comments.

Great suggestion - thanks!

Just another A380 seat question.

I'm on 222 DFW-DXB in a few days. I'm confused that seatguru shows no seat in front of 81A and K, but the seat map on Emirates does show there is. (It's strange that in the rear section of the plane where I'm sitting the website is showing a total of nine seats in the whole section. I know that's messed up, but it has pulled up that way for a week now.) I've looked but can't find the definitive answer. Thank you!

All A380s from A6-EEU onwards have a re-configured Y cabin with seats 80A and K present. The older models have no 80A and K and that is what you see on SeatGuru.

DFW usually has the newer frames, although I can see older ones 3 times in the last month.
