Service is good on EK - you have dine on demand, a good selection of wine. The two middle seats are perfect for a couple. Haven't flown AF in a long while so can't compare their cabin and service to EK, but I am sure someone here should be able to chip in.

thank you ! Did you take advantage of the shower by chance ?

I recently flew J between DXB-MLE, heading there we were on the newer 77W 3 class aircraft (Tablet seat controllers). Which was just like any other J flight on EK. Heading back, we were on the newer 77W 2 class aircraft. We were in row 3. Is it just me or are the J seats closer on the 2 class. I usually cant reach the screen from the seat but on the 2 class I could reach it easily with barely leaning forward, as well as rest my feet on the grey plastic under the seat infront. Also in the flat position it had more of a slant.

The flight only had 10 or 11 people so I tried different seats. The only ones that seemed like all the other aircrafts was row 6 behind the little bar/entry area.

My question is, was it just me or are the seats actually offering significantly less legroom, and an awkward sleeping angle?

I have noticed this and had posted on an earlier thread. Row 5 on a 2 class is the worst.

Does anybody knows if 777-300ER with ICE over 1800 channels which I found out is newer version of 777s has USB ports in economy? We'll be flying DXB-HKT-DXB on flights 378 and 379 in january.

Yes, besides there are 110v US style power jacks on alternate seats in Y.

The latest planes with the black bezel tablet displays improve on the 110v US style jacks with a 3 pin universal power socket in all classes (again in Y in alternate seats) - I think it's 110-220v. I'll take a picture for you next time if I am on an aircraft with that type.

USB ports and Power sockets

Hi all,

New here and all, hope everybody is well. Emirates economy seating is well documented for being well equipped with power sockets (one per pair of seats as I recall) and each have USB ports.

May I ask, does anyone know what about those in bulkhead rows, where are the USB ports and Power sockets located?

Thanks!

They are underneath your seat between the armrest dividers next to the life jackets. Various pictures on Google will be more precise than my description!

Why are 2E/2F always blocked on the A380 ?

I found info saying 1A/2A are blocked for unaccompanied minors but nothing for 2E/2F.

Thank you.

Aren't 2E/F bassinet seats? Or is it 3E/F? Perhaps their system classifies 2E/F as bulkhead seats technically so it's a case of "computer says no". Try giving them a call if you want to reserve them.
