I searched this problem and when people have had only some passengers refunded and phoned they seem to be told to resubmit missing passengers again so I've done that. I think the issue might be first form I didn't realise it was by passenger and put both our names. Then thought this might be by passenger as has ticket number on and put a second one in for my number which has gone through. Now resubmitted first one with just husbands name on it.
Seat bookings it looks like you have to submit one form per seat booked, so that's another 7 forms for me to do. I've done 2 so far. Am not sure on seat bookings if I put whole flight in or just which leg. I have gone for whole flight and will see how I get on with first two. |
Look for the drop down arrow/box on refund form
I had rtn flights for 5th march, LHR - BOM submitted refund form on 3rd march and confirmation by Emirates of full refund inc all charges on the 7th March.
i only filled in one form as it has a drop down box.arrow to add additional passengers and ticket numbers, also added on the comments, request due to Middle East issue. Money not back on card yet but still only 6 days since initial request. This was using the standard refund form. |
Credit where its due. EK have been incredibly fast to refund bookings. My money went back onto my card this morning for a cancellation on friday

We have about £2,400 to be refunded, applied on 5th, nothing back yet, told we will get £1,100 back but think I just need to fill more forms in as it seems to be one per seat booking and my husbands flight ticket I presume that's not gone through as I put two names on the passenger section. They must be snowed under at the moment. I had not noticed the add field button but it doesn't do seat numbers so think it is 11 forms for us. I am not finding it that easy but as long as we get the money back at some point will be happy. I think when we had the same in 2020 I had to do lots of forms for EVA Air but it all worked out.

Thank you for all the updates, we filled in the refund form yesterday, fingers crossed!

hi, my flight to Singapore was due to fly today (6th March) I used the link from the mobile app when the information bar popped up giving options, in the comments bit I added “refund request due to Middle East trouble” I did this on the 3rd and have this morning received confirmation email stating tickets being refunded in full. Apparently can take up to 15 working days before back on card. Hope that helps

Good to hear others have got refunds. Still £1.3k to get back here and no emails or sign of it. Contact centre number engaged. Live chat said can't help. Have COVID at the moment but will hopefully get a solution when I am well again. It seems to be a common issue and some people are getting it resolved.

Received the full amount from EK back today on the creditcard used.
Thus it took 4 working days as the refund request was submitted on 10 MAR Tuesday. I filled in as others as advised: - cancelling due to Middle East Iran War - screen shot and circling from EK website " full refund if ticket is / on the 31st of March. So all in all a very swift process. |
Strange, I submitted mine on March, 9 and still no refund confirmation, apart from the automatic email after submitting the form.

Glad you got yours back HadesNL. We applied on 5th and only one passenger back and nothing on seats or other passenger but it does say up to 3 weeks. Its very odd though as we were on same booking, both never flown Emirates before, both submitted same time but only one appears to be going through. I think the live chat yesterday said we could be in different categories but I have covid so may have got that wrong and not sure why we would be in different categories - I am in Skywards Blue and husband isn't is only difference. Identical flights. Husband's flight is cancelled but money appears to be sitting in residual value.

Managed to get through to Emirates on the phone after about an hour on the UK number, takes about 30 attempts, then you wait to music. They looked it up and said that some refunds are processed separately and if we haven't received any within 21 days of first applying call back and they will help. Both ours are listed as processing though we have one a few days ago and no sign of the other.
I asked about seat bookings and she checked and (we booked these separately as they failed to go through first time) and she said you can do one form (seemed unsure if 1 per passenger but its not one per seat) and put all the EMD numbers in - ours were different to flight ticket numbers. EMD numbers start 176. You click add field - I have added them all on one with all the numbers in, I paid in 3 transactions so 3 different numbers so 6 fields. I needed to open up the PDF document which came with each seat booking to get these numbers. I have entered all the seat numbers and INVOL refund etc in comments. Hope it works. |
It surprised me that the refund was processed within 4 days.
I can add that: - filled in the form and scrolled down - than use add+ function to fill in my own name + ticket number details - used add+ again to fill in my S/O's name + his ticket number details - Skywards : both of us blue - we had no extras like seat purchase of extra kg - flight was AMS - DXB - NRT (departing March - returning back April 2026) - purchased our ticket MAY 2025 - flightnumbers EK148 / EK 147 to/from Amsterdam - flight numbers EK 318 / EK 319 to/from Tokyo Narita - orginal ticket is EK F - flex ticket - Added image in the form:
