Skywards complex situation - need HELP!

I need help with my slightly complicated situation.

Need to book jfk-mxp for 45,000 skywards miles, for my wife, but:

She had 6k in her Skywards account.
My plan was to move 14k from her Amex, and then 25k from my Amex -- BOTH going directly into our Skywards family account.

When I moved the 14k from her Amex it ended up going to her personal account, instead of our family account. I reached out via phone and website Chat to Emirates, but they won't reverse it, stating that I switched her contribution to 0% after the transfer, and that it is not allowed.

On my Amex card, my wife is an additional cardmember, but because she's been added less than 90 days ago, then I can't link her Skywards account.

On her Amex card, I am an additional cardmember, but my last name is missing the last letter, so the Amex account can't be linked to my Skywards account.

Her Amex had only those 14k, and my Amex only has 25k. Can anyone please help me with this?

Thank you so much

EK and Amex basically need to manually unlink any linked accounts, so it may be you just need to call up Amex (better CS than EK) and get them to unlink everything (then call EK to confirm it), then reconnect the things you want to, directly.

But for the miles already in there, I think you're going to have to call and beg Emirates to get them to do it manually.

I had to get EK to un-link my AMEX card from my spouse's Amex card to make a transfer work. I repeatedly contacted AMEX who were unable to help. I finally spoke to a supervisor who told me EK must initiate the change. I called Emirates and landed with an agent who intermediately understood the linking issue and it was fixed in a little over a day.
