I suspect (though could be wholly mistaken) that the poster was referencing the degraded service / catering levels experienced by some travellers during Covid-restricted flight operations ...... and on that basis, it wouldnt matter which a/c was used.
But I do agree with your point that - in the eyes of most EK users - the smaller capacity 777 can (in normal times), offer a more personalised service than the A380.
